DLC Status
No DLC for Mortal Shell II has been announced. The official store page lists no downloadable content, and neither Cold Symmetry nor Playstack has teased paid expansions as of August 18, 2026.
The original Mortal Shell received the The Virtuous Cycle expansion (a roguelike mode with new mechanics) after its 2020 launch, so fans often ask whether the sequel will get a similar post-launch expansion. To be clear: that is speculation, not a statement from the developer.
What Could Come Later
If the original game is any indication, possible post-launch content includes:
- An expansion mode like The Virtuous Cycle (roguelike / New Game+ style content)
- Additional Shells with unique abilities
- New regions added to the open world
- Free seasonal/quality-of-life updates such as a photo mode or performance patches
