Mortal Shell II Wiki Editorial Team

Editorial Policy

Our goal is useful guidance with an explicit evidence boundary. We would rather leave a gap than turn a rumor, placeholder, or assumption into a confident game fact.

Evidence order

We prefer sources in this order: official Mortal Shell or publisher pages, the Steam store and developer announcements; reproducible build testing documented on the page; then community material that can be cross-checked against more than one public account.

A source supports only the claim it actually addresses. An official source on one detail does not make every statement on a page official.

Evidence labels

Official source is used when the page's main actionable claims are supported by first-party material. Build-tested requires a stated version or context and reproducible steps. Community cross-check requires corroboration and must remain distinct from official confirmation. Unconfirmed is used for incomplete drafts, single reports, or details that cannot yet be verified.

When we do not publish

We do not publish a page merely to occupy a keyword. We hold back material when it has no useful answer, depends on an unidentified rumor, copies another guide without verification, or would require inventing gameplay details. A short page may remain only when it answers a narrow question honestly.

Review and updates

Review checks claims against listed sources, confirms that the evidence label still fits, tests internal links, and records a real update date only when content changes. Pre-release information can become outdated quickly and is revised when stronger public evidence appears.
